Where only the tip is visible from the rear of the vehicle, the muffler body is manufactured with a lock seam for economy. Where the muffler body is visible it is of welded construction, ground and then polished to a mirror finish. The newest Ractive Mugen style MTP section is a recirculating exhaust designed to increase flow and thereby power while reducing the sound level of the exhaust.
